Fortnite Drum Gun

Following the long-awaited return of Playground Mode, Epic Games has also released Fortnite’s v4.5 content update. There aren’t a ton of bug fixes and changes (which is fine, since everyone is busy freaking out over sky rifts). However, there is a brand new gun for Fortnite: Battle Royale users to spray and pray with.

The Drum Gun is this week’s new weapon and it promises the power of a rifle with the fire rate of a submachine gun. It can be found in both Uncommon and Rare variants so it shouldn’t be too hard to come by. The Drum Gun uses Medium Ammo, deals 26/27 base damage and holds 50 rounds in the magazine.

Save The World players have much more to look forward to. Along with the addition of the Stink Bomb, there’s the new Freedom’s Herald Pistol. This weapon can launch firecrackers that knock back enemies while also exploding and causing damage. The Lynx Assault Rifle is another new weapon, boasting great stability with its slow bursts. Two new heroes – Stars and Stripes Constructor and Stars and Stripes Outlander – have also been added to the Event Store.

Here’s the catch: Many of these new items will only go live on July 4th, 8 PM ET to celebrate American Independence Day. Keep those currencies stocked in the meantime and check out the full patch notes below.
