Forza Horizon 5 has been out for a few months, and millions have been enjoying its incredible open world arcade racing offerings since then. If, however, you’ve squeezed every last drop of content out of the experience and are hungry for more- well, there might be some good news for you.
Over on Twitter, @ALumia_Italia, a page that tracks the Xbox Insider Hub and any updates made to it with new apps and what have you, recently reported that Microsoft has started testing something that’s referred to in the backend only as WOODSTOCK_DLC_FLIGHT. In case you’re unaware, “Woodstock” was the codename that was internally given to Forza Horizon 5 during development, which, of course, suggests that a first expansion for the game might be on its way.
Post-launch plans for the open world racer haven’t been detailed by Playground Games or Microsoft yet, but it would be far from surprising to see it getting expansions. That has been the trend with Forza Horizon games, and especially given how wildly successful Forza Horizon 5 has been, it would make sense for Playground and Microsoft to keep adding to it.
If an expansion is indeed coming, an announcement might not be too far away- though of course, that’s purely speculation at this point. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated on any new details that come our way.
