Forza Horizon 5 attracted more than 10 million players in its first week, making it the biggest launch week in Xbox history. As such, every Forza title is some one’s first and diving into this massive open world with over 700 cars can be quite daunting. It’s fairly rewarding with the Wheelspins and Skill Points, but soon, you’re going to wonder just how to earn enough Credits and collect every single car.

Fortunately, there are a number of tips through the years which have helped Forza players to cope. From the outset, it’s worth saving Credits instead of splurging them on any vehicle that you might want. On top of receiving numerous vehicles out of the gate, you also receive some great cars from the Welcome Pack DLC (at least, for those who own it).

Skill Points, which are very easy to earn, can also be spent to unlock more Credits, Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins (with the latter two having a chance to bestow cars for free). Given how you can simply go off-road, destroy various objects in the environment, perform drifts and J-Turns, and hop over terrain to earn XP for Skill Points, it’s a great way to generate income. Each car has its own Mastery as well so simply unlock Credits and other bonuses for one, then switch to another and repeat.

While the Willie Jeep exploit is no more, flipping cars earned from seasonal events is still a great way to earn cash. Since these cars can’t be earned outside of their specific seasons, you can list them in the Auction House when the next season rolls around. Just make sure that it’s not a car you’re specifically interested in keeping or having to grind for again.

If you want to earn Credits from just racing, then the Goliath may be worth checking out. It’s a fairly long race and takes about 10 minutes or so to complete. This makes it good for earning Credits and XP, and while the assists can be adjusted to increase rewards, it’s better to keep them balanced so you won’t have much trouble.

Finally, keep an eye on which cars you’re upgrading. You might want to try out a new vehicle for a race and then end up tuning it for thousands of Credits…before tossing it aside once a shiny new vehicle rolls around. Keep a certain set of cars handy that you’ll use for the majority of races and remain conservative when it comes to upgrading anything else. Only upgrade a car if you’re absolutely sure you’ll be using it regularly. Every Credit saved is a Credit earned after all.
