Game Freak, the developers of Pokemon, are looking to expand. The Japanese company recently took to Twitter to share that it is looking to recruit 23 people, across a variety of fields, including programmers, graphics designers, producers, and more. The most interesting part? According to their tweet, they’re doing this to “create a new Pokemon series.” Check out their tweet below.

Game Freak’s relatively smaller size has surely become a problem for them, especially in context of how massive Pokemon is and how frequently they have to keep pumping out new games in the series. Expanding to match their ambitions for the series – and hopefully, that is what this is about – makes a lot of sense for them. It should be interesting to see what this “new Pokemon series” will end up becoming, too.

A “Pokemon Presents” broadcast was recently announced, and will go live today at 6 AM Pacific Time (just a few hours from now). Might we hear a little something about this new series, or is it too early for that? We’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned.
