Gamescom Opening Night Live Garnered 12 Million Views, Gamescom 2023 Dates Confirmed

Over 250,000 people attended this year's physical event. There were also more than 1,100 exhibitors from 53 different countries.

Gamescom 2022, which officially ended yesterday, had over 250,000 attendees from around the world. The official website also confirmed more than 1,100 exhibitors from 53 different countries.

Gamescom Opening Night Live kicked off the trade fair last week and has amassed 12 million views. The entire program garnered over 130 million views, as of this past Saturday evening. Gamescom 2023 has been announced and runs from August 23rd to 27th next year. The next Gamescom Opening Night Live takes place on August 22nd, 2023.

As for this year’s showcase, it contained a myriad of announcements. Hogwarts Legacy received a new trailer and Digital Deluxe Edition details. Sonic Frontiers received a new trailer along with a November 8th release date. Then there was the re-emergence of Dead Island 2, which is out on February 3rd, 2023 for consoles and PC.

Until Sony officially announces its next PlayStation Showcase (currently rumored for September 8th), the next big event is The Game Awards. It’s set to take place on December 8th. Stay tuned for more details on the same in the coming months.
