Summer Game Fest is going to kick off with the appropriately named Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live on Thursday, June 10, and with over 30 games being featured, it promises to be a pretty packed show. One of those games, it’s been confirmed, will be a new announcement from 2K Games and Gearbox Software.
The obvious conclusion to jump to here is, of course, Borderlands. Gearbox has previously confirmed that it’s working on a new game in the series, while a recent leak also talked about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a spinoff title that is allegedly due out later this year and in line for an imminent reveal.
Gearbox is also set to have a presentation during E3 week on June 12, so it’s likely that whatever game gets announced on Thursday will receive additional information just a couple of days later.
