Gears 5 is probably one of the biggest upcoming releases of the year, and one that Xbox fans will be looking forward to fervently- it’s not often that a high profile exclusive releases on the Xbox One, after all. But since its reveal at E3 last year, we haven’t seen a whole lot of it- well, that’s going to change very soon.

Microsoft have confirmed via Twitter that Gears 5 will be making an appearance at E3 2019- to absolutely no one’s surprise. “The wait is almost over,” proclaims the tweet that made the announcement. And the game’s presence at the Microsoft E3 show isn’t going to be all we see from it either. It’s also been confirmed that there will be an E3 Coliseum panel dedicated entirely to Gears 5 (joining the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty 2019). Rod Fergusson, studio head of The Coalition, will be in attendance.

There have been a few leaks for Gears 5 recently. A couple weeks ago, the game’s release date and cover art were potentially leaked (we’ll know soon enough if the leak was accurate), while not long afterward, another leak detailed things such as open world elements and Xbox One X enhancements for the game. Take a look through here.
