The Coalition’s Gears 5 releases on September 10th for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Along with debuting a new trailer for the three player co-op mode “Escape”, the developer announced that the shooter would be available four days early for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition. Even crazier is the fact that you can play it early with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
More details would be coming in the months till release, according to The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson. Versus multiplayer mode “Arcade” will be showcased in July, while Horde mode will be featured in August at Gamescom. How will character abilities will change the battleground? We’ll find out in August.
Gears 5 sees the focus shifted to Kait Diaz as she ventures with Del and Marcus Fenix to discover the truth behind her past. New mechanics, a larger world with more varied environments, and much more are being added on top of the tried-and-true third person shooting. Stay tuned for more information from the Xbox presser at E3 2019.
