The Coalition’s multiplayer beta for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition attracted its fair share of gamers. In a new infographic released following the conclusion of the beta, it was revealed that players had played nearly 1.1 million matches in eight days. This amounts to roughly 120 years played.
The overall number of unique users seems a little low – 786,415 – but it’s impressive when you consider the timing of the announcement and its release on only one platform. Despite this, users from 68 unique countries managed 41.2 million kills over an eight day period and performed nearly 6 million execution kills.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be releasing on August 26th for Xbox One and will be a remaster of the original Xbox 360 classic. It will include significant changes to the textures and models while bumping the resolution up to 1080p and frame rate to 60 FPS. Will you be picking it up? Let us know in the comments below.
