With Ghost of Yōtei now available worldwide for all PS5 players, it’s a good time to reflect on its critical acclaim. To assist in this, Sucker Punch Productions and PlayStation have released a new accolades trailer, collecting praise from various outlets that reviewed the title. Check it out below.
On Metacritic, Ghost of Yōtei currently has an 87 Metascore based on 109 critical reviews, compared to Ghost of Tsushima’s 83 Metascore from 122 reviews on PS4. You can check out our review for more details, but the majority of critics cite the improvements and variety of the open world, stellar combat, and more in their reviews.
While Ghost of Yōtei’s launch (complete with a hefty day-one patch) marks a significant milestone for Sucker Punch, it’s only just beginning support for the title. The co-op Legends mode, first introduced in Tsushima, arrives for free in 2026 with four playable classes, two-player story missions, four-player survival missions, and new enemies. Even the Yōtei Six will appear as “demonic, giant” foes.
