We’ve been eager to get back to Atsu when the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion dropped alongside the Complete Edition, which we were told about in early August.
The time’s finally here, and the launch trailer shows Atsu teaming up with an unwelcome face from her grim past, Nagato. Things clearly didn’t end well with him, but perhaps the two can find common ground and shed some light on how she became the fine warrior she is at the beginning of our time with her? There’s also a new group of targets to hunt, the Vipers, and we’re sure their leader (whoever they may be) will be difficult to pin down and equally challenging to take on in single combat.
There’s also the new Most Wanted single-player mode, where we get to control a bunch of cool characters from the franchise, Jin Sakai included. We’re hoping his stance-based discipline and the Sakai blade will be at our disposal once again, but playing as the Oyuki also has us intrigued thanks to how she manipulates the very shadows to her advantage. The new expansion’s probably a nice place to rock that Last of Us-inspired armor set alongside other recently revealed collaboration outfits.
