Sucker Punch Productions has announced a new story expansion for Ghost of Yōtei, Echoes of Sekigahara, alongside the Completion Edition. Out on October 1st, it will include all content for $69.99, including the new Most Wanted survival mode.
Echoes of Sekigahara offers flashbacks to Atsu’s past on the mainland, where she’ll take part in the famous conflict. A new character, Nagato, emerges to meet her in Ezo, where she’ll also explore a new valley where new threats await. Players can look forward to new heavy weapons, dyes, armor sets and more.
As for Most Wanted, it’s a run-based survival mode where you take bounties and slay foes to unlock perks. Much like The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered’s No Return, you can unlock multiple characters, whether it’s Atsu wielding dual katana, Oyuki with her kusarigama or Nagato with the yari.
Aside from this, you can look forward to new Watanabe Mode tracks, New Game+ cosmetics, new Trophies for the expansion and Most Wanted, and more. The Complete Edition Upgrade is available for $14.99 to those who already own the base game. If you pre-order by September 30th, the Sakai Armor from Ghost of Tsushima will be available early.
And if you’re content with the base game, October 1st sees the addition of new features like transmog, a high contrast mode, and Beauty of Yōtei mode, described as “a screensaver-like view of the environments of Ezo to keep on and relax at home (and take stunning new Photo Mode captures).”
