SIE Santa Monica’s God of War is the biggest title that the studio has worked on till date. As we inch closer to a release date, a new video has released with the development team discussing progression and customizing abilities to one’s liking.

Though nitty gritty details and builds aren’t exactly provided, the developer does talk about having skill trees for Kratos’ axe, fighting bare-handed and even for his son Atreus. You can choose to specialize in defensive abilities or go all out with brutal combat. We’ll learn more about specific abilities in the coming days but the developer has promised that whatever you want to do, it’s probably somewhere in the game.

God of War releases on April 20th exclusively for PS4. It follows the journey of Kratos, older yet still angry, as travels the realm of the Norse gods with his son. How the gods react to this and the journey the duo undertake forms the crux of the gameplay.
