God of War

Sony has released yet another video showing off the gameplay for the upcoming God of War, and as you can expect from any showings of the eagerly anticipated title by now, the game looks fantastic in this new video, too. The video shows off a battle against a troll, as well as some exploration, and even the interactions between Kratos and his son. It all looks fantastic, and seems to reinforce that this new, more measured take on the beloved series is going to breathe new life into it in all sorts of ways.

You can check out the video for yourself below. God of War is going to be the fourth major entry (and the seventh entry overall) in Sony’s tentpole franchise, changing the franchise to a more exploration action RPG, with a third person camera, more of an emphasis on exploration, and a change in setting to Norse mythology.

It is due out exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on April 20.
