The game is much larger than we had previously anticipated.

Now that God of War is inching closer to its release, every fan will want to know the answer to one question: “How long will it take to beat the game?” Now, we’ve received an answer from Cory Barlog, the game’s Director who spoke to Kinda Funny Gamescast.

We’ve already known that this game is going to be much larger than previous games in the series, but it looks like the game will be even larger than we had expected then. Cory Balrog stated that a designer played the entire game through till 100% completion and he revealed  that it took him 43 hours to finish the entire game. Given that this player was a designer on the game, it may take the average player even longer to complete the game.

It’s clear that God of War is going to be massive in its size and scope and we only have to wait for a few more days before we get to play it for ourselves. God of War is set to release exclusively for the PS4 on April 20.
