God of War Ragnarok Behind-the-Scenes Video Discusses Character and Creature Design

The folks at Santa Monica Studio speak about the process of designing the characters and creatures of the upcoming sequel.

In the lead-up to God of War Ragnarok’s impending launch, Santa Monica Studio has been revealing more and more about the highly anticipated sequel. Plenty of that has come through a series of behind-the-scenes videos, which have spoken about everything from the process of shaping the game’s story to expanding upon its combat mechanics. A newly released video in the series is here now, and it focuses on the game’s character and creature design.

In the video, members of the development team speak about a number of characters, including Brok, Sindri, and others in the Dwarves realm of Svartalfheim, while various different creatures are also shown. New details are revealed on the realm itself as well, which will see players traveling to a number of different biomes, from wetlands and mountain springs to mines, and more. God of War Ragnarok launches for PS5 and PS4 on November 9. Reviews will go live on November 3, so stay tuned for our final thoughts on the game.
