Bungie officially unveiled PvE extraction shooter Marathon earlier this year, though it’s safe to say that it’s going to be a while before the game is ready to be shown again, much less ready to be released. Even so, work on the shooter continues behind-the-scenes, and Bungie is also making use of talent outside of the studio to help the project come to life.
karakter design studio, a German support studio that focuses on art design and design direction, has confirmed via a post on Twitter that it’s assisting Bungie with the development of Marathon. “We are supporting Bungie in imagining a new world, based on their bold, graphic vision,” the studio wrote.
karakter design studio has previously been involved in the development of a number of first party PlayStation projects, including the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, and God of War Ragnarok. The studio has also provided support on the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Ryse Son of Rome, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
