Buried Signal’s Gorogoa, which was published by Annapurna Interactive for the PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch, will be releasing soon for the PlayStation 4. Check out the announcement trailer below and try to piece together exactly what the game is about. Spoiler: It’s all about the power of frames and how we use them.

Designed and illustrated by Jason Roberts, Gorogoa leads the player through various puzzles that revolve around illustrated panels which must be combined and arranged in different ways. The panels are completely hand-drawn by Roberts and there are thousands of them, underscoring just how much work went into the aesthetic.

The story itself is presented through these puzzles and while not terribly long, Gorogoa has received its fair share of positive acclaim for the narrative and puzzle solving. If you’re interested in trying it out now, then head over to Steam. It’s currently on sale for 30 percent off and
