WB Games Montreal’s recent action RPG Gotham Knights is has received a free two-hour trial on PlayStation Plus Premium. It joins the likes of The Last of Us Part 1 and A Plague Tale: Requiem, which have also received free trials on the service in the past few weeks.
Released in October 2022, Gotham Knights takes place after Batman’s death, with the rest of the Bat Family – Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood and Batgirl – protecting Gotham City. There are thugs to beat up, villains to batter, and the Court of Owls to investigate. Unfortunately, despite a strong start in the UK and US sales charts, its critical reception left a lot to be desired.
Gotham Knights is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. A free update added Heroic Assault, a new four-player co-op activity, and Showdown for rematches against super-powered versions of the game’s bosses. Future updates are in doubt – senior producer Bryan Theberge’s LinkedIn page indicates that the developer has entered production on its next title.
