Gotham Knights is supposedly not going to feature Batman, with his extended Bat-family stepping in to watch over Gotham City in the wake of their mentor’s apparent death. And given how strong the Batman rogues gallery is, it goes without saying that these heroes are going to have their hands full dealing with threats to the city.

So far, developer WB Games Montreal has already confirmed a few famous villains for the game- Mr. Freeze will be involved, and of course, the Court of Owls will be the primary antagonist. But there are, of course, more that haven’t yet been revealed or discussed- and one will be not long from now.

As reported by MP1stGotham Knights’ creative director Patrick Redding said in a recent interview at San Diego Comic Con (via @STension19 on Twitter) that there are several villains in the game that haven’t yet been unveiled, though there’s a “big villain reveal” coming up soon.

“Some of the villains in our game – not all of whom have been revealed, and not all of whom I can talk about – I’m especially proud of,” he said. “So I would love to do the follow-up to that question in a few weeks when we’ve had our big villain reveal.”

Interestingly, Redding also recently stated that The Joker won’t be featured as a villain in Gotham Knights, but seemed to hint that Harley Quinn might be. He also reiterated that Batman is really dead in the game. Read more on that through here.

Gotham Knights launches on October 25 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out trailers and gameplay footage for each of its four main characters – Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood – through the links.
