Gran Turismo 7

Polyphony Digital and Sony have released a new behind-the-scenes video for Gran Turismo 7, continuing its series of discussing various aspects of the game. This time, it’s the livery editor which series creator Kazunori Yamauchi notes to be a “medium of expression” for players. Check it out below.

With Gran Turismo 7, the developer is aiming to make the livery editor easier to use. The video briefly showcases different paint colors divided into different categories like Standard and Traditional (along with a color picker). Tons of preset decals, arranged into categories like Fantasy Logos, Brand Logos, Shapes and Patterns can also be seen. And of course, players can seamlessly resize these decals.

Gran Turismo 7 releases on March 4th 2022 for PS4 and PS5. To learn more about its different aspects, check out the behind-the-scenes videos on car collection and haptic feedback. You can also learn more about Yamauchi’s thoughts on automotive culture here.
