Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo fans have been waiting for a new traditional entry in Polyphony Digital and Sony’s beloved racing sim series for some time now, and based on all that we’ve been learning about the upcoming Gran Turismo 7, it looks like it might just live up to expectations. Other new details on the game have also been emerging in the lead-up to its launch, and now, we also have a clearer idea of what to expect from its file size.

As per @PlaystationSize on Twitter, a page that routinely scrubs the PlayStation Network backend to track files, uploads, and their sizes, Gran Turismo 7 is going to have a download size of 89.445 on the PS5. This will be without the game’s day one patch (which hasn’t yet been officially confirmed but is going to arrive for certain), with pre-loading kicking off on February 25, several days ahead of launch.

It remains to be seen what the game’s size is going to be on the PS4. The PS5’s Kraken decompression has often resulted in the same going being smaller on the new console than its last-gen counterpart, but we don’t yet know if GT7 is going to be even bigger than 90 GB (which is already pretty big) on the PS4.

Gran Turismo 7 is out on March 4 for PS5 and PS4. Apparently, if rumours are to be believed, we’re going to receive plenty of new information on the racing sim this month. Read more on that through here.
