Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising Adds Anila to Roster, Dash Attack and Triple Attack Revealed

The Dash Attack lets players close the distance, while the Triple Attack can now unleash overhead or low attacks on the third hit.

Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising will include the entire cast, DLC and all, from the previous game, but it has some new additions as well. In a new trailer, it announced Anila as a new playable character. Check it out below.

Touted as an all-rounder, the so-called Queen of Sheep fights with a polearm, using different rush-downs, projectiles and anti-air attacks. Her addition reflects the design philosophy to “elevate moment to movement options and strategies.” As for some new mechanics, Dash Attack allows for closing the distance and attacking with light, medium and heavy attacks.

Certain characters, like Gran, can also chain their Dash Attacks into combos. There’s also Triple Attack, which returns from the first game. However, you can now use an overhead or low attack as the third hit.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising is out later this year for PS4, PS5 and PC. The next trailer will release on March 4th, so stay tuned for more details.
