Update: The game is now also confirmed for the PC and Xbox One.

The wait is finally over as Sony confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 would be releasing for the PS4 in the Fall. It also revealed a brand new trailer of the game running on the PlayStation 4, which you can check out above.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been heavily rumoured for release on the PS4, Xbox One and PS4 for a while now. While Rockstar has insisted that GTA 5 wouldn’t be out for next gen consoles, retail listings and rumours continued to run rampant. Now the rumours can rest though.

While it’s confirmed for the PS4 and taking full advantage of the console’s power, it’ll certainly head to the Xbox One as well. What’s harder to predict is if it will indeed release for PC but that seems a given at this point. Nonetheless, stay tuned for more news and information in the coming months as we near the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS4.
