Rockstar Games gave new life to the good old “breaking the internet” proverb with the premiere of the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal trailer in December last year, and though we haven’t heard much else about the long-awaited crime epic since then, excitement surrounding it hasn’t died down by any means- which is something that’s reflected in the constant views that the aforementioned trailer has attracted.
As spotted by a user on ResetEra, the official Grand Theft Auto 6 release trailer has now surpassed 200 million views. At the time of writing, it has 200,181,217 views, having taken a little over seven months to get to that milestone.
In December last year, we reported that the GTA 6 trailer had surpassed 150 million views within less than two weeks of premiering. It also saw more views in a single day than the GTA 5 reveal trailer saw in over 12 years.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is due out in fall 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There’s currently no word on when it’ll come to PC.
