Grand Theft Auto 6 Will Launch in Fall 2025, Take-Two Reiterates

The long-awaited open world crime epic is on track to release in Fall 2025 for current-gen consoles, Rockstar's parent company says.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is easily the biggest game scheduled to release in 2025, but whether or not the game will actually hit its intended release window is something many have questioned. Officially, Rockstar Games has, of course, said that the open world crime epic will release in Fall of next year, but the developer has a long history of delays for virtually all of its flagship releases- so can we expect the same for GTA 6 as well?

Not according to Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games. In its recently published quarterly earnings report, Take-Two has reiterated that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch next Fall, which means it’s still on track to release as scheduled. Of course, the game could still end up getting hit with a delay announcement in the months to come, but at least thus far, it seems like production as progressing according to schedule.

This isn’t the first time Take-Two has doubled down on the game’s Fall 2025 launch window, with CEO Strauss Zelnick having stated earlier in the year that the company is “highly confident” it will be able to hit the window.

Whenever it launches, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
