Guerrilla Games Played A Vital Role In Deciding The PS4 Specifications

You have to admit that Guerrilla Games’ Killzone: Shadow Fall looks absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay surely does need a bit of work, but boy, the game is shining through with high resolution textures and amazing view distance. And with several months still to go for the PS4 launch, things can only get better.

The PS4 games and specifications were revealed last week. Sony made their statement pretty clear. They are developing a gaming console  for the gamers, by the gamers.  During the conference they also revealed that they met with several developers to get their architecture right this time.

Apparently Guerrilla Games played a vital role in deciding the PS4 specifications.

“This was the first time we did this with PlayStation, where you get the entire group of core developers together and consistently give very deep, profound feedback on everything system-related, and that’s really awesome,” ter Heide from Guerrilla Games said.

He also revealed that all the first party studios had a hand in making the PS4 to what it is now.

“The guys who made it are no longer in an ivory tower in Tokyo, shared with us and not just with us, but with Evolution, Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, everybody and together we’ve built the machine.”

“They’ve made sure that all the focus is just on how we can make the games as good as possible,” he said in an interview with CVG.

Looks like Sony took all the right steps in developing a next gen system. However a lot remains to be seen. For our continued coverage of PS4, check out here.
