Guild Wars 2 has received its first living world update for 2014. Origins of Madness will see players fighting against Scarlett Briar, participating in large battles and working to unravel her devious plot. This involves travelling to Lornar’s Pass and meeting the Twisted Marionette, and battling the Great Jungle Wurm on Bloodtide Coast thanks to Briar’s involvement.

We’ll find out about other unique content to arrive for Guild Wars 2, including new items, new dungeons and different combat mechanics. Interestingly, the game has built up a reputation for delivering content updates every two weeks. No wonder the game was one of the top 10 grossing free to play games of 2013.
