Gungrave G.O.R.E.

Iggymob’s Gungrave G.O.R.E. was finally released last month after years of development. Suffice it to say that it wasn’t worth the wait due to sluggish movement, a bland story, repetitive gameplay and poor level design. For series fans, one core issue is how the game doesn’t visually resemble its predecessors.

A new patch is available to remedy this. It adds a free cel-shaded mode to mimic the look of the older titles and a new idle motion mode where Grave randomly changes his pose when stationary for over ten seconds. New demolition shots with dynamic camera action have also been added. The developer also notes changes to the core gameplay with 25 “various systems” receiving tweaks.

“We have improved on the balancing using feedback from players so they can enjoy the game more comfortably and in a more approachable way,“ said producer Kim Darhoon. He also asked players to look forward to “future updates,” so stay tuned for more details.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s also playable on Game Pass. You can check out our official review here for more details.
