Hades

Currently exclusive to the Epic Games Store, Supergiant Games’ Hades will be coming to Steam Early Access on December 10th. A new trailer highlights the announcement while also offering a quick look at the story set-up and gameplay. Check it out below.

The basic gist is that Zagreus, the Prince of the Underworld wants to leave and reach Mount Olympus. It’s not an easy task especially since his father is Hades. Thus will you traverse through the Underworld, taking help from various Olympians like Zeus, Athena and Poseidon to ascend. Numerous boons confer different benefits and permanent upgrades can be unlocked with the Mirror of Night in this rogue-lite dungeon crawler.

Hades has seen a number of updates since it entered early access on the Epic Games Store last year. It’s received new areas, new enemies, new boons, an improved UI, more fluid combat and much more. The recent Big Bad Update even added the final battle along with new music and story events.
