Halo 5: Guardian’s file size seems to match its stature- unlike Rise of the Tomb Raider, another high profile Xbox One game, which comes in at a measly 20GB of hard drive space, Halo 5: Guardians will take up over a tenth of your usable hard drive space. Yikes.
This is because its file size is – you may want to sit down for this – a massive 46.19GB. What’s more, this is the file size of the base game. Any DLC, updates, or patches will probably add to this even more- don’t be too surprised at a final file size approaching 60GB for Halo 5, when all is said and done.
This mammoth file size already makes Halo 5: Guardians the eighth biggest install on Xbox One of all time (the biggest install size is Halo: The Master Chief Collection, at 62GB, but at least that had the excuse of being four bundled games at once).
