Halo Campaign Evolved

If the rumors and reports about Xbox’s upcoming line-up have pointed to anything, it’s that the company is seemingly eager to avoid clashing with Grand Theft Auto 6. As such, that could mean some games, like Halo: Campaign Evolved, allegedly launch in July, just one month after the Xbox Games Showcase.

Neither Halo Studios nor Microsoft has confirmed whether this is the case, but it’s already been rated by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee. Furthermore, it lists the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB), with which it shares information, giving it an “M” for Mature rating. And in case you find that surprising for Halo, the original Combat Evolved also received the same rating.

Halo: Campaign Evolved reportedly launches on July 28th with early access beginning on July 23rd, potentially for pre-orders. It’s allegedly content-complete and offers a fairly robust skin system. If that wasn’t enough, the three prequel missions, which are confirmed to focus on Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson, reportedly involve the ODSTs, Brutes and a brand new Covenant faction.

Halo Studios didn’t officially confirm this, but Abstraction and Virtuos are also reportedly involved in development. If an announcement happens, then it may be at the Xbox Games Showcase and Gears of War: E-Day Direct (the latter running for 30 minutes) on June 7th.
