Of all the big shooters that released at the end of last year, Halo Infinite is perhaps that not only launched in a solid state, but has managed to maintain its popularity thanks to efforts by 343 Industries to act on feedback from fans. Of course, this is a constantly evolving game, and new content, seasonal updates, and more are going to begin rolling in soon. A couple of months ago, 343 Industries’ head of creative Joseph Staten said that details on Halo Infinite’s seasonal roadmap, campaign co-op, and Forge would be shared in January, but with January having come and gone, Staten has provided an update on what the situation is.

Taking to Twitter, Staten recently said that 343 Industries needs “more time to finalize” plans, with the studio wanting to share “something you can rely on.” While Staten hasn’t provided an updated time frame for when these details will arrive now, he says 343 Industries will have an update as soon as it can.

We do know that currently, the plan is for 343 Industries to launch season 2 of Halo Infinite in May and bundle campaign co-op with it, followed by Forge and season 3 sometime in the Summer- though as the studio has said in the past, that’s not entirely set in stone, so it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to learn that plans had shifted somewhat.

Microsoft recently announced that Halo Infinite has enjoyed the series’ biggest launch ever, having already amassed over 20 million players. Other fixes and updates to the game are, of course, in the works and being released as well. Meanwhile, leaks have also claimed that a new “newcomer-friendly” multiplayer mode for the game is currently in the works at Certain Affinity- read more on that through here.
