While Hell is Us sort of came and went last year, Rogue Factor has been working on updates and addressing feedback. One major criticism surrounding the title is its lack of enemy variety. On October 8th, a new update will go live alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version (previously set for September 24th), adding ten new Hollow Walkers.
And lest you think they’re just recolored versions of existing threats, the teaser below showcases what some bring to the table. One new threat appears to be a torso surrounded by six smaller orbs, which it launches from range. Another is completely contorted and floating in the air, hands and feet clasped.
The third is perhaps the most intriguing: A Hollow Walker that’s evolved to the point where its appendage has extended into a weapon. It also moves remarkably like Remi, making you wonder if this is meant to fill the role of hostile NPCs in other Souls-likes.
Whether this is all that Rogue Factor is including in the update remains to be seen, but there are still seven more threats to encounter, and we can’t wait. Hell is Us is currently available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and as revealed by the teaser, it’s reached 1.5 million players since launch.
