Ninja Theory’s Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga was one of the standout surprises from The Game Awards 2019. No one expected it and we certainly didn’t expect the visual fidelity it offered in-engine and in real time. While we’ve suspected for some time that it’s coming to PC as well as Xbox Series X, Microsoft has now provided official confirmation.
Over on Twitter, Xbox games marketing GM Aaron Greenberg said that Hellblade 2 is being made “exclusively” for Xbox and PC. Xbox is currently the name that Microsoft is using for its next-generation console line-up with the Xbox Series X being included. Whether other ninth generation Xbox consoles are announced and Hellblade 2 launches on them remains to be seen.
There are still several questions pending. Will Hellblade 2 release on Steam as well as the Microsoft Store? Will it launch day one on Xbox Game Pass like so many other first-party Microsoft titles? Stay tuned for more details in the coming months – the Xbox Series X launches in Holiday 2020 but Hellblade 2 doesn’t have a release window.
Itโs being made exclusively for Xbox and PC.
