Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 is officially coming to Xbox Series X/S on August 26th, arriving about 1.5 years after its massive success on PS5 and PC. You can check out details on the Standard and Super Citizen Edition here, but for those with any hope of a Game Pass launch, that’s not happening.
According to Discord community manager Katherine Baskin, the co-op shooter is “definitely not” coming to Game Pass. Furthermore, there are “no plans to bring it to Game Pass.” Of course, there is another issue: Cross-progression or the lack thereof.
Cross-platform play between Xbox, PlayStation and PC players is possible but what about transferring your progress to another platform, perhaps in the future? Baskin responded, “I don’t know.” If you’re playing on PS5 and want to migrate over to Xbox Series X/S or even PC, prepare to start over from scratch.
Helldivers 2 has received numerous changes and updates since its launch, including new enemies, weapons, and features like primary weapon customization.
