Arrowhead Game Studios has taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that exosuits will be making their way to Helldivers 2 soon. The announcement was made by using an in-universe propaganda poster talking about the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits being manufactured in the factories of Tien Kwan.
“HELLDIVERS! The EX-45 Patriot Exosuits are in full production in the factories of Tien Kwan,” reads the announcement. “Ready for deployment on the battlefield soon!”
While no solid release date has been announced for what is set to be the first of player-controlled vehicles coming to Helldivers 2, players have been bracing themselves for the addition of mech-suits and other vehicles to the game.
Earlier this month, gameplay clips of Helldivers 2 popped up showcasing the EX-45 Patriot Exosuit in gameplay, seemingly thanks to some enterprising players being able to hack into the game and make use of files and data that were seemingly already present, as caught by an earlier datamine.
In all likelihood, the EX-45 Patriot Exosuit might have even been planned for release earlier after Helldivers 2‘s released, but the studio likely had its hands full owing to a myriad of server issues that arose thanks to the unexpected level of success seen by the game.
