Arrowhead Game Studios has announced the next Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 – Polar Patriots. Going live on May 9th, it offers armor sets for cold climates alongside new weapons, emotes, capes and more. Check out the trailer below.
The new weapons include the AR-61 Tenderizer, boasting “awesome stopping power” but a smaller magazine size; the SMG-72 Pummeler, which fires slower but concusses enemies; and the PLAS-101 Purifier, a rifle which deals more damage the longer you hold the trigger.
New secondary weapons include the G-13 Incendiary Impact, unleashing white phosphorus in an area, and the P-113 Verdict, a semi-automatic pistol with the “largest centrefire cartridge of any lunpistol of its kind.” The latest Utility Booster is Motivational Shocks, helpful against Terminid vomit attacks but less so against EMS generators.
The three new armor sets are the CW-36 Winter Warrior (stealth-focused with the Serve-Assisted passive), CW-22 Kodiak (Fortified passive), and the CW-4 Arctic Ranger (possessing a “nifty utility belt” with lots of pockets). Players can also look forward to three new caps.
Stay tuned when the Polar Patriots Premium Warbond goes live. Helldivers 2 is available for PS5 and PC, and it’s currently the best-selling premium game year to date in the United States, though it’s a “massive hit” on both platforms.
