During its Spring Summit for Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard Entertainment introduced some fairly big changes coming with update 2.0. This includes a new hero – Cassia from Diablo 2.

Progression is being overhauled and there will be no level caps. Player level will be the total number of hero levels gained. Even XP gained past the level cap will be taken into account.

You can also expect less XP for each level and a loot chests whenever you level up. These are only basic loot chests – rare and epic loot is obtained with certain milestones. You’re guaranteed one rare item in a rare chest and an epic item from the epic chest along with chances of higher rarity items.

Items will include up to four items which can be heroes, portraits, announcer packs and voice lines. There will also be new banners, emojis and sprays for use in-game. If you want, Gold can be spent to reroll loot chests.

The full changes can be gleaned here. What are your thoughts on the evolution of Heroes of the Storm? Let us know below.
