Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima had only recently revealed quite a lot of details about related to the development of his upcoming game, Death Stranding. During the PlayStation Live coverage at E3, Sony Interactive Entertainment held a discussion with Kojima and  Guerilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst, and thanks to this, we’ve been able to learn some more details about the game.

The main aim with the new trailer was to showcase some gameplay and to also introduce the two heroines in the game. A lot of thought has been put it into the character of the protagonist, and he is meant to represent a blue collar worker, and is not some elite person. Kojima also stated that it was a great honor to work with all of the different actors including Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner, and stated that they all brought valuable inputs to the game. Kojima also expressed his gratefulness for Guerrila Games’ Decima engine and stated that the trailer was created as a result of the engine and the new album from Silent Poets.

With this game, Kojima is most focused on creating new ways to play games and he is thankful for all the connections that helped make this possible. The game certainly looks like it’s going to be a unique experience. Kojima revealed that there is even a game mechanic related to the protagonist maintaining his balance!

Death Stranding is set to release for the PS4. More details about the game will probably be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
