Announced earlier this year, Squanch Games’ first person shooter High on Life has looked unusual and promising in more ways than one based on what we’ve seen of it so far. Combining its unique central premise with the promise of some off-the-rails humour and writing by Justin Roiland of Rick and Morty fame, there seems to be quite a bit here to catch the eye.

As promisedHigh on Life also took the stage at Gamescom Opening Night Live, showing us a decent chunk of new gameplay footage, which primarily focuses on a boss fight that seems to be from a relatively early section of the game. The trailer offers a decent look at the game’s combat and mechanics. Check it out below.

High on Life was previously out in October, but recently got delayed to December 13. It’s in development for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be available with Game Pass at launch.
