Hitman 3

The recent State of Play was a pretty tame one (probably by design), but it did have one or two megaton announcements tucked in. The biggest one of them all was that Hitman 3 would be entirely playable in VR. Playing Hitman in first person is an exciting prospect as it is, but add to that the prospect of virtual reality combined with motion controls, and what you have is the potential to be immersed in some of the most intricately designed sandbox levels you will ever find in a game.

In a new developer diary, IO Interactive speak more about that, with various members of the development team talking about what makes Hitman in VR so special. More importantly, there’s also snippets of some VR gameplay footage in there, which fans of the series who’re looking forward to the game and its VR capabilities will definitely want to check out. Take a look below, it’s looking rather good.

Hitman 3 will release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in January 2021. Its VR features are exclusive to PlayStation.
