Hitman 3 Trailer Shows off the Game’s VR Support

Absolute immersion, thanks to PlayStation VR.

Hitman 3

When Hitman 3 comes out later this month, on PS4 and PS5, it will be entirely playable in VR (as will every single level from Hitman 1 and 2, which are also included in the game). The developers at IO Interactive have previously spoken about how the game’s VR support adds significantly to the immersion factor of the experience, and now, they’ve released a trailer that does the talking for them.

The trailer shows off the game running in VR. Played in first person, it seems to be taking things to the next level, and really does seem like an excellent way to experience the sandboxes of Hitman. Several levels are shown off (including many that will be familiar to fans of previous releases), and Agent 47 definitely seems to be having fun in virtual reality. Take a look below.

Owing to the fact that the PS5 doesn’t run PSVR natively and only supports it through backward compatibility, when you play Hitman 3 on PS5, if you want to play it in VR, you’ll have to play the PS4 version of the game. On the PS5 though, other features, such as DualSense support and 4K/60 FPS, will be supported.

Hitman 3 is out on January 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, as well as the Nintendo Switch through the cloud.
