Hollow Knight: Silksong is a “Glorious Game Worth the Wait” – Lead Playtester

"I really want this game to release ASAP, and the testers are working hard to get it out to you, as well as Team Cherry, of course."

Hollow Knight Silksong

Another Nintendo Direct has passed without any new details about Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong. Last seen at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022, the highly-anticipated sequel was confirmed to launch by June 2023. So the lack of news since then is somewhat concerning, especially for fans who have been waiting almost four years for a release date.

Fortunately, lead playtester Graig provided a small update on the game’s Discord in the wake of the recent Direct. As spotted by Daily Silksong News on Twitter, they said, “I feel for you all, I really want this game to release ASAP, and the testers are working hard to get it out to you, as well as Team Cherry, of course. It will come, and it is a glorious game worth the wait. Love you all.”

Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Its Nintendo eShop page recently went live, though it doesn’t contain any new information. Announced in February 2019, the Metroidvania title focuses on Hornet, who arrives in a new kingdom after being captured and proceeds to investigate while making her way to the peak. Stay tuned for further updates in the meantime.
