With the next Nintendo Direct happening today, hopes for new details on Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong have been renewed. This time around, it’s possible that there may be an announcement of some kind, potentially a release date. Following the recent GeForce NOW database leak, Steam user Wok reported seeing the title with a release date of February 1st 2022.
YouTuber fireb0rn went into more detail on the same, checking the query on a backup (where the release date is strangely not mentioned) before consulting Wok and another user, Madjoki on Twitter, who each had their own personal backups. Both confirmed the above release date and while Nvidia called the list “speculative,” there are some legitimate games – like Microsoft’s Project Indus and Project Cobalt – that are mentioned.
Today’s Nintendo Direct starts at 3 PM PDT and for its roughly 40 minute runtime, it will focus on Nintendo Switch titles releasing this Winter. Team Cherry hasn’t provided any major updates on Hollow Knight: Silksong since confirming its absence at E3 2021. Whether it appears during today’s Direct or not, stay tuned for all of the details and updates.
