With all the twists and turns that Honkai: Star Rail’s Penacony storyline has seen, many assumed Firefly (voiced by Analesa Fisher) would become a playable character. miHoYo has confirmed the same in new “Extraterrestrial Satellite Communication” splash art. As a limited 5-star character, she deals Fire damage and follows the Path of the Destruction.
Firefly is a member of the Stellaron Hunters with Blade, Kafka and Silver Wolf. However, she dons a mechanical suit of armor known as SAM (voiced by Adin Rudd). There’s speculation that Firefly and SAM are separate play styles since their voice actors are credited together (unlike Clara and Svarog). Given this announcement is before Version 2.2 launches, it’s pretty much confirmed that Version 3.3 will feature Firefly as its 5-star character.
Stay tuned for more details and announcements in the coming months. Version 2.2, “Then Wake to Weep,” doesn’t have a release date yet. A Special Program is on April 26th, so expect an announcement soon. Its 5-star characters are confirmed to be Robin and Boothill.
