Honkai Star Rail - Version 2.3

miHoYo has announced that Honkai: Star Rail’s next big update, Version 2.3, “Farewell, Penacony”, goes live on June 19th. It adds two new characters – Firefly, the Stellaron Hunter (first half) and Jade of the IPC (second half), a new Trailblaze Mission and an update to the Simulated Universe. Check out the preview trailer below.

The story sees the Astral Express Crew venturing to the Radiant Feldspar as the various families ponder the aftermath of Version 2.2’s events. While Jade seemingly schemes, Sparkle looks to make good on her promise of mass destruction.

As for the Simulated Universe update, it’s called Divergent Universe. It offers unique gameplay functions like combining buffs from two separate Paths and raising a character’s level to the Equilibrium cap. There’s even a Restart Challenge button, so no more suspicious “game crashes” when things aren’t going your way.

Stay tuned for more details on the abilities and backstories of Firefly and Jade in the coming weeks. Honkai: Star Rail is available for PS5, iOS, Android and PC.
