Crytek’s PvEvP multiplayer title Hunt: Showdown is coming to PS4 on February 18th but the development team has much bigger plans in store. Update 1.2 is also coming up and will introduce new equipment and weapons along with new Legendary Hunters. There will also be an advanced tutorial for players along with improvements to performance and bug fixes.

Perhaps most interesting are the developer’s future plans. Along with cross-play, the developer is working on live events, a solo PvE mode (though whether this can be played offline remains to be seen) and customization for outfits. A new boss is also in the works.

Hunt: Showdown is currently available for Xbox One and PC after spending some time in Steam Early Access. The basic objective is to hunt a monster in a terrifying location, slay it and then escape before other players can claim you as their next bounty. It’s received a number of new modes, maps and bosses since launch so let’s see what the future holds for its next updates.
