Hyper Light Breaker

Hyper Light Breaker, the newest title from Heart Machine, has received its first official gameplay trailer courtesy of IGN. Though early access is delayed from Spring to Fall 2023, we get our first look at the gorgeous environments, fast-paced combat, and various enemies players will encounter. Check it out below.

Set in the same universe as Hyper Light Drifter, the 3D rogue-lite touts “infinite open worlds” and various loadouts. As a member of The Breakers (each with unique stories), you explore Overgrowth to take down the Abyss King. There’s regular movement and dashing, but players can also use hoverboards to get around.

Some weapons include blasters, two-handed cannons, sledges and swords. At one point, the player drops a massive block on a group of enemies. By upgrading the main settlement, you’ll receive permanent upgrades, making future runs easier. The gameplay trailer is solo player-focused, but co-op is also supported. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
