Originally At some point, Gordon was to reach Nova Prospect by Train.
During the development and planning of Half Life 2, the developers wanted Gordon to reach the prison facility by train. Once he arrived there, it would derail, and Gordon would meet Alyx and Skitch, and they would be attacked by Over watch Elite. For those of you who are wondering who Skitch is, she was a female alien cut from Half-Life 2. Skitch was an unknown species (presumably from Xen), she was to belong to Alyx Vance.
